Green Mountain Woodcarvers Annual Show

The Green Mountain Woodcarvers hold an annual show in August. Exhibiting members come from all over New England. Drop in to discover all aspects of wood carving, from caricature carving to wildfowl, art birds to Scandinavian flat plane carvings. Demonstrations are planned throughout the day of carving styles and methods, including an opportunity for kids (of all ages) to try their hand at soap carving.

The Show also has space for vendors and other artisans working with wood products. Other wood carving clubs are often in attendance, including the New England Woodcarvers and Maine Woodcarvers.

This is a good opportunity to learn how woodcarvers, using simple hand tools transform a block of wood into a piece of art.

As always, the show is free and everyone is encouraged to attend.
