June 2024 events

Welcome to summer events at the Birds of Vermont Museum! It’s all about birds, birds, and more birds this month. Come inside for art (and more birds), too!

The Museum is open Wednesday – Sunday, 10 am – 4 pm. The trails are open sunrise to sunset, every day. Libraries have passes, and admission is always free for members (https://birdsofvermont.org/membership/).

May – October • Wednesdays – Sundays, 10 am – 4 pm

The Museum’s 2024 community art exhibit is open! What is the Power of Perspective? Explore, examine, and delight in art that speaks to both humans’ and birds’ perspectives and experiences. How might a change in perspective alter people’s understanding of the lives and needs of the birds who share our world?

Included with museum admission, no registration necessary

Sundays, June 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 • 7:00 am – 8:30 am

Spring and early summer mornings are terrific for birding. Who’s singing, calling, nesting, or flying around the Birds of Vermont Museum? Discover birds on an early morning ramble in the Museum’s forest and meadows. Walks are led by experienced birders familiar with Vermont birds.

Bring binoculars and good walking shoes. Early mornings are often damp with dew and boots are definitely in order. Don’t forget bug spray/tick repellent!

Park at 900 Sherman Hollow Road, in the Museum parking lot.

Free, suggested donation: $10-$15 • max: 12
